Vicente Lazen is partner at RegFin. He has held the position of Vice Chairman of Supervision at the Chilean Pension System Regulatory Authority. Previously, he has held different responsibilities in the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance of Chiles, including Head of Oversight and Regulation of Financial Infrastructures, Head of International Affairs and Senior Economist at the Research Division.
He was a member of the CPMI-IOSCO Steering Group in charge of designing and drafting the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures, PFMI. He co-edited the book, “Study about the Securities Clearing and Settlements Systems in Latin America,” as well as other related publications on Securities Clearing and Settlement. He has been an international consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF), the Superintendency of Securities of Dominican Republic (SIV) and the Central Bank of Paraguay, the Central Securities Depository of Chile, the Banco de Chile, PwC and Deloitte among other institutions.
He is also a member at several Chilean investement funds’ Oversight Commitees.
He is an Economist of the University of Chile and MBA of the University of Texas at Austin and CFA (level I).
